Per Fronth
PER FRONTH works with photography as his raw material, a material that he transforms in a unique way into painting, film, sculpture, weave and prints. His background as a photojournalist in the newspaper Verdens Gang where he had the whole world as a field of work influenced Fronth’s visual vision, theme-building and artwork.
Visual artist Per Fronth holds a distinctive signature in Norwegian and international contemporary art, where he works in the field between photography and painting. His artwork marks himself as distinctive and confrontational in his genre and medium. The works are often series-based with a clear storytelling that depicts the different aspects of human nature.
Fronth’s artworks is incorporated into permanent public of Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama (Japan), Biblioteque Nationale, Paris, Sørlandet Art Museum SKMU as well as in a number of significant collections to Sting and Trudie Styler, Ex. US Vice President Al Gore, Norges Bank, Shipowners’ Association, NHO, Property Partner, OXER Property, NATO, Intelligence Service, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Grand Hyatt New York.
